The Valley Brook Neighborhood associates and staff would like to thank everyone who has been involved with the creation, development and support of Breckenridge’s new sustainable community, Valley Brook Neighborhood.  Among the local businesses and community members who offered their support in some way are: Slifer, Smith & Frampton Real Estate; Mountain Comfort Furnishings & Design; Harvest Catering; High Country Conservation Center; Innovative Energy; Land Title Guarantee Company, and Breckenridge Building Center.

We’d also like to thank Pat Coyle, Director, with the Colorado Division of Housing, Susan Kirkpatrick and Greg Winkler with the Department of Local Affairs, for their financial contribution through grants, which helped to make Valley Brook Neighborhood a reality; Jen Miller for her fantastic photo logs and website development;  Judy Irwin and Rolando Cuadrado with Wells Fargo and R.J. Gildea with First Bank for their work on lending compliance concerns; Alex Miller and his wonderful staff at the Summit Daily News for the continuous coverage of the project; and Jane Harrington of Harrington Consulting for work with grant-writing and FHA matters.

A very special thanks goes out to Summit Combined Housing Authority staff Jennifer Kermode, Joanne Van Steenberghe and Joy Klein, for their countless hours dedicated to the process of contractual document development, their efficient marketing techniques, and for the professional and caring manner in which they connected with the public through the entire process.

A huge thank you goes out to Graeme Bilenduke, for managing issues in the field on a daily basis & owner relations throughout the sales and construction phases of the project; Compass Homes Development/ CFC Mountain Builders LLC, particularly Tim Crane and Jim Gorr, for their commitment to quality construction, flexibility and attention to detail, who have done an exceptional job of staying on deadline;  Stan Miller, Inc.; and the many local trades and suppliers who have been involved in this project. We’d also like to thank Nathan Sciarra and Michael Ohara of KTGY Architects and Bill Campie of DTJ Design.

And, finally, our gratitude goes to all the local officials and staff that lent support and devoted their time and expertise to the cause, including the Breckenridge Town Council and the Summit County Board of County Commissioners. Special thanks go to the Breckenridge Housing Sub-Committee past and current members, which includes Rob Millisor, Peter Joyce, John Warner, Jen McAtamney, Mike Dudick and Eric Mamula; and to Thomas Davidson, Gary Martinez, Steve Hill, Tim Gagen, Tom Daugherty, Dale Stein, Glen Morgan and Laurie Best.

We sincerely appreciate and acknowledge the many organizations and individuals who have contributed to this project, the hard work it took to create this new neighborhood, as well as the support and encouragement of the wonderful community in which we live. Now, most importantly, to our new neighbors who have chosen to become a part of Valley Brook Neighborhood, we'd like to say.....WELCOME HOME!
